Monthly Specials: My suppliers have all informed me of an immediate 5% to 10% price increase forcing me to raise my prices. UPS has also announced shipping increases. If you have been wanting to order any product, now is the time before pricing and freight increase. I do have some stock left with the old pricing but I will be taking that stock to a trade show and it will be sold there. Pricing will be increasing on the 20th of this month.

There are only four dozen of those wonderful hand towels from the Ritz Carlton left. These are supposedly seconds but I have found very minor flaws in only 10 percent of them. Several orders have already come in for these towels. If you need a high quality heavy hand towel, these are a rare find. They are only $2.50. Comparable store pricing is $9 to $10. Take advantage of this offer before they are gone.

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you enjoyed the holiday season and your New Year is being filled with many blessings.

In my last newsletter I spoke of exciting news in January. Well last spring I was given the opportunity to coauthor a full cleaning book. It will be in bookstores across the U.S. by mid January. The title is "The Complete Idiots Guide to Cleaning." The book is filled with all my favorite tips and so much more. The stain removal guide on my website is but a fraction of what is in the book. How to remove every stain on 7 or 8 surfaces is covered. My complete speed cleaning guide is within the pages of this book along with a guide on setting a cleaning schedule and selecting a cleaning service. From tips on buying products to cleaning attics to windows, nothing in your home is left untouched. Bookstore price is $14.95. It is only $13 on my website at www.goclean.com. Shipping will be adjusted to $5.00 for priority mail.

This suggestion was sent to me from a very dear friend and is a valuable tip to pass along to everyone you know. Following the disaster in London...The East Anglian Ambulance Service launched a national "In Case of Emergency (ICE)" campaign.

Store the word "ICE" in your cell phone address book, and enter the number of the person you would want to be contacted "In Case of Emergency." In an emergency situation ambulance and hospital staff know immediately who to call. For more than one contact name use: ICE1, ICE2, ICE3.

[[[[[[[TIMELY TIPS:

The New Years party is over, holiday decorations are tucked away until next year and finally you have time to kick back and relax. Well the clock just timed out on that 30 minute break. Oh - your new year's resolution did not include catching up on cleaning jobs that have been ignored for the past four years? That is one of the things this ezine is about - taking up the slack with reminders so the dust bunnies don't grow into 6 foot tall rabbits and multiply!

Here is a list of cleaning jobs we tend to ignore but need attention to prevent major problems down the road. These are ideal for the next several months when weather is raining and cold. Get the whole family involved then treat them to dinner out when the work is complete.

1. Cleaning and conditioning wood cabinets and furniture. Wood furniture and cabinets dry and crack if ignored. Feel you bathroom cabinets. After several years of suffering through daily steam baths they crack and turn grey. Treat them at least once a year with our Wood Care to prevent this. For those of you who already use my Wood Care I have been testing it for the past 6 months in diluted form. It makes a wonderful furniture cleaner to use regularly. Purchase a spritz spray bottle for best results. Mix 8 parts water to 1 part Wood Care.

2. Deep treat leather and vinyl furniture to prevent sun damage if they are near a window and drying and cracking. Our Leather/Vinyl Cleaner and Conditioner deep cleans and conditions. It can be diluted the same as the Wood Care for regular cleanings.

3. Clean the inside of kitchen cabinets. Grab two plastic clothes baskets. Use one basket to toss anything you haven't eaten including old spices, medicines etc. that are past expiration date. The second will hold any item you haven't used for the past 3 to 4 years. Either have a garage sale, take them to Good Will or sell it on EBay. Don't forget to wipe down the shelves and put down new shelf paper.

If storage is a problem in your kitchen, places like Bed Bath and Beyond, department stores and hardware stores have a ton of great storage ideas. Just let your creative side take over when you go looking.

4. Resolve once a month to thoroughly clean one to two rooms of your home. Designate a day then keep the appointment with yourself. Pull the furniture away from walls. Clean the walls and baseboards then vacuum thoroughly. Use our Dry Sponge to clean dog hair and surface dirt off fabric furniture. Our Ion-A-Clean will remove most stains on the furniture.

Pull everything out of the closet repeating the idea with the baskets as above. Yes I know I'm a slave driver - tough. Getting rid of things you haven't used for years if it is not a family heirloom or of any value and you simplify your life. A simpler life is a giant step toward a happy, peaceful, comfortable live.
