Monthly Specials: My new cleaners will be arriving later this week. You will receive a special email when they come offering first time specials. You will absolutely love how they cut your cleaning time. Four ounce sample sizes will also be available for you to test. They will be $15 for all three with a $7 shipping fee. I have several of my products recommended this time for holiday cleaning shortcuts and will be offering two separate packages for all the products including my new cleaners. I have also ordered some special polishing cloths for jewelry. These are expensive $8 and $15 cloths. One will be given free with each package to help you put a special shine on your jewelry this holiday season and every season as well.

[[[[[[[GREETINGS]]]]]]]]

I'm not totally sure you realize how lucky you are! Two and a half years ago my Granddaughter found her way into this world stealing my heart as she did. I thought my son had done a good job of that. Sorry Jason, you've been knocked down to the minor league by your daughter. I know you don't mind as she stole your heart as well.

Somehow I've restrained myself from being a total bore and talking about Gracie at least two out of three newsletters. Even though any grandparent will try to tell you that their grandchild is the cutest, sharpest and most adorable on the face of this earth, don't listen. Gracie holds that place of honor and there is no use convincing me otherwise. I have no patience to listen to such nonsense. Just ask my mother, she will totally agree with meJ!

Gracie came to visit last week, parents in tow. She not only blessed us with her nonstop delightful sense of humor but also took us on a wonderful journey back to Never Never Land. Throwing her arms out to the side, giving a delighted "Oh my" her whole body was taken over with her enthusiasm for whatever grabbed her attention. Her inquisitive nature, love of mischief and openness to the simplicity of life took us on that magical albeit busy, tour of a child's world. Gratefully one of the four of us "adults" was alert enough to catch onto her creative ways to outthink, out maneuver and out wit us.

She knows occasionally she can catch someone dozing and did. Her eyes will glance sideways and almost audibly say "I can have this all right?" Since you didn't have the foresight to purchase a hearing aid, this otherwise boisterous little lady softens her voice so she is barely if at all audible. As a consequence your non-response is the same as a "yes" answer to her. Try explaining a "non-answer" to an independent 2 year old who has more bottom lip pucker power and woeful looks than the entire family of puppies on 101 Dalmatians.

I am finding the most difficult part of being a grandparent, though, is saying goodbye. As you carry your Granddaughter down the steps to get in the car for the airport, you look at her and say "I'm going to miss you" and she gets teary eyed right back and says " I miss you too Grandma" then gives you hug that can melt Mount Everest. Yes I am totally in love and she has a brother due in early December!

[[[[[[[TIMELY TIPS:

If you are new to Moppins Mail and want to catch up the past several issues, they are available on my blog. http://amazingcleaningtips101.blogspot.com/.

How is that holiday list coming? Not started yet? Ok, make a promise to at least put a piece of paper where it's handy and jot down what you normally do during the holiday seasons, baking shopping, decorating etc. It's a start and will help you keep organized. As you write down the things you normally do it becomes easy to see where perhaps you could cut back and relish the season as it is meant to be. The holiday season is not about outdoing your neighbor (decorations etc). It's about doing for your neighbor.

We actually stopped decorating a tree several years ago. Instead I take soot and peanut butter balls, press sunflower and other wild bird seed into them and head for the woods. Climbing a ladder, we string our tree with goodies for our squirrel and winged friends. No I'm not saying give up your decorated tree. I'm just saying that there isn't a child - no matter your age - who doesn't enjoy a romp in the woods that smells of freshly fallen leaves. A mug of hot cocoa from the thermos warms the hands as you wait for the winged ones to squawk their thank you.

I will put an excellent pie crust recipe on my blog that you can retrieve from my website http://amazingcleaningtips101.blogspot.com. It can be made ahead of time and frozen up to 6 months. This is one way to get a jump on the holidays and you can make enough ahead to get you through all the dinners and parties for the entire season.

Now let's get a jump start on cleaning for the holidays. You need fast ways to get those chores done. Start in the bathroom, the most time consuming. Our Erase It for Bathrooms http://www.goclean.com/erase-it.htm makes short work removing rust, hard water and iron from toilets. The Erase It http://www.goclean.com/erase-it-all.htm for tile grout removes those hard water deposits, soap scum and mildew.

When my new products arrive in a few days, our CleanEz will quickly remove hard water spots on glass shower doors and the TerraPlus will knock soap residue off the shower walls in minutes. Then coat both your toilet, shower walls and doors with Advantage http://www.goclean.com/advantage.htm and cleaning this holiday season will be a breeze.

Advantage coats surfaces so soap residue and water sheets down the walls and doors of your shower. It also make surfaces slick so residue doesn't stick in a toilet. You will appreciate the true value of this after company leaves and you have house cleaning the next day. You can also use a product like Gel Gloss in the showers and toilets although it will probably take two to three coats.

Next in the bathroom, pour a cup of distilled white vinegar in the toilet twice a month to prevent the pinkish residue as well as hard water from forming.

This is the ideal time to clean the chandeliers since they are also so very time consuming. For chandeliers with baubles spray those with a cleaner found at lighting stores. It dries without leaving residue. Move furniture and put down plastic then old terry towels. Spray the baubles and just let them drip dry. After they have dried wipe the arms with jewelry cleaner and that job is done for another six months.

Usually mini blinds cleaned now will stay pretty much dust free through the holidays - exceptions noted. Take an old but clean all white cotton tee shirt or one of our lint free towels, http://www.goclean.com/towels.htm and dampen lightly with a bit of vinegar and water. Turn the slats facing down toward you. Wipe over the slats starting from the top and work your way to the bottom. Now reverse the slats, pull the shades out and walk around behind them and repeat from the back.

The weather has gotten cooler and snowing in some areas so be sure to clean your chimney and your air ducts. I do not like getting emails asking how to get rid of smoke damage from fires. There isn't a winter that goes by that I don't get at least two or three such emails and they break my heart because these kinds of fires are preventable as are ones started with candles - next issue.

Spray around the exterior of your home for mold or mildew that might have started growing. Mold and mildew finds its way into your home where it can cause serious allergy problems especially during the winter. It is also very difficult to clear your home of mold and mildew. So it's far easier to seal any cracks in the foundation and kill that mold before it gets inside.

[[[[[[[SHORT CLIPS: Winston Churchill, when asked what prepared him to risk his political career by speaking out against Hitler in the mid 30s replied it was the time he had to repeat a grade in elementary school. The man said "You mean you failed a year in grade school?" Churchill replied "I never failed anything in my life. I was given a second opportunity to get it right."
